Conceived to explore and highlight immediate natural elements which constitute our physical and psycic environment, the Garden Shadows Series was begun in 2006 in Opatija, Croatia. It expanded from abstracted Palm fronds on the northern Croatian Adriatic Coast, to Sarajevo Dandelions, to North American Ferns, Grasses and Populist Ornamental Shrubbery. Japanese Maple Shadows, along with Dandelion Shadows, are perhaps the artist's best known images in the Garden Shadows Series.
