The Lady With Seagull was one of few attempts to abstract black and white photography through the artist's then progressing, so called blurred style, already taking over his color composition. This photograph also intimates the direction the artist takes increasingly with repackaging the familiar and in fact the well known. His work remains less a straight narrative, and edges toward expressing a more deeply understood, yet more subtle personal truth.
