Bosnian Funeral made in Sarajevo in 2006 takes the artist's experimentally distorted method to portraiture. The image is memorialized immediately by the stylization. Beside obscuring detail to create a more melded esthetic scene, the purpose of the effect is also to cause a veiling for a certain emotional privacy. Because there is a lack of commonly expected visual clues, we are now forced to rely on posture and subtly divined attitudes to read what we know to be a strongly psychical story.
